In partnership with the International Literacy Association, the NJ Literacy Association will be recognizing the best literacy teachers in our state. Do you want to nominate someone who is making a difference in the lives of readers and writers? NJLA will celebrate a final pick and nominate this individual for the Regie Routman Teacher Recognition Grant.
Nominations are due by November 30th. You can even nominate yourself!
Criteria: The finalist must be an ILA member teaching in a school where at least 60% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Candidates must be teaching in grades K-8. (Based on ILA's criteria)

While attending the Teach at the Beach conference in Wall Township, New Jersey, WJRC president Debora Reca was presented with the State Honor Council Award for West Jersey Reading Council's 33 years of Honor Council Status. This award is a recognition from both the New Jersey Literacy Association and the International Literacy Association.
